Story Synopsis
Aranya Rana Daggubati is a forest man in India. He takes care of the forest and fights for its preservation.
One day, a real estate company came to build a township in the middle of a forest where elephants could walk and drink their water. In such a township, the elephants had no choice but to be aggressive towards the surrounding villagers.
Direction and Plus Points
The technical aspect is a great strength, and this is where Rana Daggubati shows herself. Aranya was shot in the densest forests in the world and the first half of the film stands out as decent. The rest of the film is about Narendra Bhupathi taking the fight to the next level to save the forest elephants.
There is an interesting story behind this figure. He is an ordinary poor man from the woods. His family lives in harmony with nature and puts ecology above everything else. Some of his unique traits are used in his game.
The conflict comes in the first act, when the director relies on subplots to pique the audience’s interest. The subplot, in which Mahout Kumki (played by Vishnu Vishal) of the Naxalites group fights humans and journalists record Aranya’s struggle. It is underdevelop and not of interest. After a pause, it becomes clear that the director has lost control of the narrative.
When she gets wounds by the dragon and dies, she returns to her human form. It does not know why it happens. But it attributes it to the difference in volume (rather a difference in mass). And between the kite form and the human form.
Humans cannot endure as much pain or deal with the same degree of wounds as dragons. So, it makes more sense to do so.
It is not the easiest way to avoid dealing with the aftermath of battle.
